2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”
Do you know who you really are in Christ? I believe many people that count themselves as Christians really don’t know how to answer that question. If they truly did know who they are and to whom they belong we wouldn’t have so many CEOs. (Christmas and Easter Only Christians)
But seriously, if we truly understood the Word of God we wouldn’t be leuk warm Christians, we wouldn’t straddle the fence, we wouldn’t continue to practice in the activities that bring reproach…that causes Jesus to weep.
Why do we then knowingly make the choice to practice then what is against Gods will for our lives? Why do we willingly disobey the Word of God? Why do we choose death over life? You would think that the answer would be obvious, you would think…who is this person? Who would choose these things? Only someone not in their right mind. Well…not so much…many of us choose satan over God every day. Self-discovery in the Word of God is key. The Word of God is a revealer of truth! We are told in John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
Truth sanctifies…how by exposing the hidden things…the truth brings light! Once we have revelation knowledge of the Word of God we cant help but to live a life according to its statutes.
2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”
John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
John 8:32 says, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Biblical Self discovery brings freedom…The truth enlightens…John 3:20 says, “For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Praise God for the new!! Know who you are in Christ….it changes everything!!
Meditation verse – 1 John 2:4-6 “Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”
Blessings!!

“Once we have revelation knowledge of the Word of God we cant help but to live a life according to its statutes.” I love this line and I agree fully. Head knowledge of the Bible is one thing but once we get the revelation knowledge that comes for a relationship with God, our minds and behaviour must change
